A long way to go. A short time to get there.
Amid the threat of a new breed of smarter, organized zombie, a distress call comes in over the radio. The town of Happyvale is besieged by zombies, with a larger horde on the way that will ensure total destruction.
You’ll have to team up with The Wardens on an intense rescue operation with only a small window for success. Can you make it to Happyvale before the horde?

Play with or without a fitness tracker
The Outbreak syncs steps and workouts from Apple Health (iOS) and Google Fit (Android), which connect activity from hundreds of fitness trackers and apps.
And because Apple Health and Google Fit can sync steps directly from the smartphone’s internal pedometer, using a fitness tracker is purely optional.
Frequent Questions
Does The Outbreak™ require a fitness tracker?
No. For users who don't have a discreet fitness tracker (like a Fitbit), The Outbreak™ can use the smartphone's internal pedometer to track activity. For users who do have a fitness tracker, The Outbreak™ connects to Apple Health (iOS) and Google Fit (Android), which each sync data from hundreds of fitness trackers and apps.
How does this work? What happens once I purchase a mission?
On this page you can specify your mission start date, the activity prescription, date and timezone, and the number of tickets to buy. Simply select your options, add the mission to your cart, and complete checkout to proceed.
Once your payment is processed our system will create your challenge and you'll gain access to your Mission Manager, where you can invite participants to download the Outbreak iOS/Android app and join your challenge. The Mission Manager also allows you to control the start date, add more tickets, manage the teams in your challenge, and more.
Can I purchase more challenge tickets later if I don't know how many people are going to participate right now?
Yes! Once you've purchased a challenge, there's a user-friendly challenge admin area where you can add more tickets for participants to use.
What kind of user support is included?
We have a detailed support portal with dozens of topics in easy-to-understand Q & A format, and our support staff is on deck to answer questions via an email ticketing system.
I'm not sure which activity prescription to choose... help!
For most groups, the standard prescription is plenty. It starts easy and escalates week over week. It'll include a nice mix of steps required to outrun the zombie horde, and exercise to fight through obstacles. If you've got a particularly athletic group, the extreme prescription ramps up the difficulty.
Why do you ask for the primary time zone?
Some game mechanics, like daily step goals, require a cutoff time to transition to the next day or week long period. We recommend that you choose the time zone where most of your group will be.
Is The Outbreak™ family friendly?
Yes. The tone and visuals are all family friendly.
What are The Outbreak™ app's minimum requirements?
For iPhone: iPhone 6 or newer with iOS 11X or higher.
For Android: Android version 5.1.1 or higher. Device needs to have at least 2GB of ram, higher with some devices.

I don’t really like zombies but they were cartoons and we had a good time so it was okay

We’ve participated in challenges in the past, but we’ve always gone through this challenge creation page. This go around, we had more folks interested — and with everything going on, we allowed family & friends to participate — so we decided to splurge on the one-time, full-service package.
Ladies, gents, and theydies – listen up.
It was SO pleasant working with the challenge coordinator and it makes me think “why on Earth was I setting these up myself?” Setting these challenges up is an easy task WHEN YOUR FOLKS ARE ALL ON THE SAME PAGE, but “same page” never happens with our group so in swoops Ali (?). She really took care of everything and I was always kept in the loop without actually having to do anything. I really can’t thank her enough for all her help!

The real zombie takeover won’t end in 3-weeks! Nice beginners conditioning for when things really pop off though.

This was definitely a good decision for our company. Here are the main points:
PROS:
– It automatically updates your steps
– People loved the zombie theme
– It actually got people walking more (maybe too much)
CONS:
– This one is too short. We’re gonna try a longer one next time
– Some people said steps loaded slow, but it was fine for me
Overall I’d recommend this if you are looking for a fun way to include fitness in your company culture.
