Get in. Get stuff. Get out.
The last thing you want to do when you’re holed up in a safe place is go out into the city, but supplies are running low and that’s exactly what you’ll need to do if you’re going to make it.
Scavenger Run is a 6-week mission that sees teams race to city warehouses to collect supplies and bring them back to base with a mix of steps and exercise in the standard activity prescription.

Play with or without a fitness tracker
The Outbreak syncs steps and workouts from Apple Health (iOS) and Google Fit (Android), which connect activity from hundreds of fitness trackers and apps.
And because Apple Health and Google Fit can sync steps directly from the smartphone’s internal pedometer, using a fitness tracker is purely optional.
Frequent Questions
Does The Outbreak™ require a fitness tracker?
No. For users who don't have a discreet fitness tracker (like a Fitbit), The Outbreak™ can use the smartphone's internal pedometer to track activity. For users who do have a fitness tracker, The Outbreak™ connects to Apple Health (iOS) and Google Fit (Android), which each sync data from hundreds of fitness trackers and apps.
How does this work? What happens once I purchase a mission?
On this page you can specify your mission start date, the activity prescription, date and timezone, and the number of tickets to buy. Simply select your options, add the mission to your cart, and complete checkout to proceed.
Once your payment is processed our system will create your challenge and you'll gain access to your Mission Manager, where you can invite participants to download the Outbreak iOS/Android app and join your challenge. The Mission Manager also allows you to control the start date, add more tickets, manage the teams in your challenge, and more.
Can I purchase more challenge tickets later if I don't know how many people are going to participate right now?
Yes! Once you've purchased a challenge, there's a user-friendly challenge admin area where you can add more tickets for participants to use.
What kind of user support is included?
We have a detailed support portal with dozens of topics in easy-to-understand Q & A format, and our support staff is on deck to answer questions via an email ticketing system.
I'm not sure which activity prescription to choose... help!
For most groups, the standard prescription is plenty. It starts easy and escalates week over week. It'll include a nice mix of steps required to outrun the zombie horde, and exercise to fight through obstacles. If you've got a particularly athletic group, the extreme prescription ramps up the difficulty.
Why do you ask for the primary time zone?
Some game mechanics, like daily step goals, require a cutoff time to transition to the next day or week long period. We recommend that you choose the time zone where most of your group will be.
Is The Outbreak™ family friendly?
Yes. The tone and visuals are all family friendly.
What are The Outbreak™ app's minimum requirements?
For iPhone: iPhone 6 or newer with iOS 11X or higher.
For Android: Android version 5.1.1 or higher. Device needs to have at least 2GB of ram, higher with some devices.

Seeing other peoples step count pushed me to work harder and get more steps each day and each week. I have recommended this app to several people outside of our company because of my great experience

Ran this for my company of 150 people. While I would say this is not for everyone (no company program/ event ever really is) this was by far the best walking challenge we’ve ever done. We had people singing up to “fight the zombies” who never participated in the past. I will also say that had something like a 90% completion rate (also a first for us) and the icing on the cake: great customer service. These guys nailed it.

I feel to make the game more fun for all levels, awarding power points should be based on the number of step’s ratio to points for example by also adding every 75 steps you get one power point to the scoring. This help teams with less physical abilities get some points where this keeps there interest in the game, because right now this game is not fun, because of the wide range in exercise levels mainly determine power points. I do enjoy the game, thank for listening.

This is our 3 (4?) challenge and I am pleasantly surprised at the amount of retention we have especially since this challenge was no joke compared to the first ones. Teh increase in difficulty makes sense though. My group really had to put in work which is exactly what we wanted.
