Neither snow, nor rain, nor zombies…
A nearby settlement has sent word… they’re running low on supplies and need an assist.
To reach them, you’ll need to brave the open land outside of the city in this 6-week mission where human zombies are the least of your worries.

Play with or without a fitness tracker
The Outbreak syncs steps and workouts from Apple Health (iOS) and Google Fit (Android), which connect activity from hundreds of fitness trackers and apps.
And because Apple Health and Google Fit can sync steps directly from the smartphone’s internal pedometer, using a fitness tracker is purely optional.
Frequent Questions
Does The Outbreak™ require a fitness tracker?
No. For users who don't have a discreet fitness tracker (like a Fitbit), The Outbreak™ can use the smartphone's internal pedometer to track activity. For users who do have a fitness tracker, The Outbreak™ connects to Apple Health (iOS) and Google Fit (Android), which each sync data from hundreds of fitness trackers and apps.
How does this work? What happens once I purchase a mission?
On this page you can specify your mission start date, the activity prescription, date and timezone, and the number of tickets to buy. Simply select your options, add the mission to your cart, and complete checkout to proceed.
Once your payment is processed our system will create your challenge and you'll gain access to your Mission Manager, where you can invite participants to download the Outbreak iOS/Android app and join your challenge. The Mission Manager also allows you to control the start date, add more tickets, manage the teams in your challenge, and more.
Can I purchase more challenge tickets later if I don't know how many people are going to participate right now?
Yes! Once you've purchased a challenge, there's a user-friendly challenge admin area where you can add more tickets for participants to use.
What kind of user support is included?
We have a detailed support portal with dozens of topics in easy-to-understand Q & A format, and our support staff is on deck to answer questions via an email ticketing system.
I'm not sure which activity prescription to choose... help!
For most groups, the standard prescription is plenty. It starts easy and escalates week over week. It'll include a nice mix of steps required to outrun the zombie horde, and exercise to fight through obstacles. If you've got a particularly athletic group, the extreme prescription ramps up the difficulty.
Why do you ask for the primary time zone?
Some game mechanics, like daily step goals, require a cutoff time to transition to the next day or week long period. We recommend that you choose the time zone where most of your group will be.
Is The Outbreak™ family friendly?
Yes. The tone and visuals are all family friendly.
What are The Outbreak™ app's minimum requirements?
For iPhone: iPhone 6 or newer with iOS 11X or higher.
For Android: Android version 5.1.1 or higher. Device needs to have at least 2GB of ram, higher with some devices.

I run HR for a 1500 person company. We do 2 of these a year and they keep delivering. Now that we’re work from home I set it up so each department head can organize their own challenges for their specific teams.
These programs are 60% health, 40% teambuilding, so they are no brainers for us.

I’ve purchased a couple challenges for my company and this one was my favorite so far. This coming from someone who isn’t a “gamer”. It was challenging but it was so fun conquering that BEAR with my team! 🙂

I’ve done a few of these and was NOT expecting the [spoiler]. If you’ve done the earlier challenges I highly recommend this one!!

We used to use GCC but switched to this a few years ago and have never looked back. It’s cheap, our employees love it, and they actually use it. I thought something was wrong the last time we did it because we didn’t have our usual people entering 50,000 steps a day. Turns out, they added a feature that filters out the big manual entries that people use to cheat. Great product, highly recommend!

Our team was at a disadvantage because someone stopped playing so we weren’t able to get the bonus points. I wish I was on a team alone
