5. Oura needs to be set up to sync its data to your health platform in order for your steps and power to show up in your banks. Follow the appropriate guide below, then confirm that you did so in A Step Ahead

Health Connect (Android): Guide here

Apple Health (iOS): Guide here

6. A connection test will run to ensure data is flowing between Oura and your banks. If there are any issues you’ll be notified, otherwise you’re ready to go!

How to Log Exercise

Oura will automatically detect exercises while you wear the ring, but you can also manually add activity in the app. See Oura’s guide for more information.

Troubleshooting

My steps or exercise aren’t being added to my bank
There are two major causes of syncing issues for Oura:

  1. A Step Ahead doesn’t have the correct permissions from your health platform
  2. Oura is not set to sync its data with your platform

To fix issue 1, check the App Permissions for A Step Ahead in your phone settings and make sure all requested permissions are set to Allow.

To fix issue 2, follow one of these guides to setup syncing:

How do I manually enter steps?
Oura does not support manually entering steps, so make sure you wear your ring when you exercise.

How do I get power?
Workouts tracked in the Oura app and exercise passively recorded by your ring are transferred to A Step Ahead as power.
